I’m a native of St. Croix, a United States territory located in the Caribbean. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Housing Consumer Economics with a concentration in Journalism from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia. I am currently the Director of Administration at Kingdom Builders Christian Center--a non-denominational Christian ministry in Norcross, Georgia (a position I’ve held for seven years). In this capacity, I facilitate the day-to-day operations of the church’s main office, and I oversee the strategic planning of the church’s activities. My role at KBCC has exposed me to a variety of fields such as event and meeting planning and communications. Communications is where I have found my passion, and I have developed the church’s communications department through implementing strategies to reach the church’s members and the community. My success in communications led me to pursue my master’s degree in Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia. I plan to complete the program in spring 2007. My husband, Khari and I have been married for six years.
